Hi! We’re Eric & Angelica. We started Lightly Traveling in 2019

after graduating college and Leave the Map™ as a name is all about leaving your comfort zone or stepping off the beaten path and living a life of adventure and total freedom.

Our first conversation started with a map. Flashback to 2014, we were at a party in Los Angeles. A world-map covered in pins on locations where people were from sparked a conversation between the two of us. We realized we were both east-coasters (Pennsylvania & New Jersey) and had moved to LA for similar reasons. Our love of photography and travel lead to us saying “I do” and starting a new life together.

In 2019 we took a major leap and left our 9-5 jobs to pursue a life of full-time travel. We bought a van, converted it into our home, and have spent the last year exploring National Parks and hidden gems around the US and Canada. We believe that the best adventures happen when you least expect it. We’re all about saying YES. Yes to the unknown, yes to new opportunities, and yes to adventure whenever possible.

Exploring new places and cultures, meeting people and hearing their stories, and stepping out of our comfort zone allows us to experience the endless possibilities that the world has to offer and grow as human beings.
